Delete your account
Your account is deleted. You have been signed out on this computer. Thank you for making shows with us.
You can delete your account, and the data it holds, whenever you like. It takes a minute and it cannot be undone.
In the studio
- Sign in at brightsidestreams.com/studio.
- Open Settings, then General.
- Press Delete my account, type your username to confirm, and press Delete forever.

Open your Profile and tap Delete account. It is the same account, so deleting it in either place deletes it in both.
If you cannot sign in
Email support@brightsidestreams.com from the email address on the account, with your username, and ask us to delete it. We may ask you to confirm it is yours before we do.
What is deleted
- Your account and login, your profile and your settings.
- Your episodes, recordings, transcripts, clips, covers and the files you uploaded.
- The rooms you hosted and what was recorded in them, and your show's mailing list. A room where another member recorded an episode of their own stays for them, with your name taken off.
- Your messages, posts and comments, and your name on other people's likes and lists.
- Your connections to YouTube, Twitch, Facebook and Instagram. If you connected Facebook or Instagram, you can also remove our access in Facebook's own settings, under Apps and websites.
- Your studio plan: a plan you pay for is cancelled at the same moment, so you are not charged for it again.
What is kept
- Billing records (what you paid and when), because tax law requires us to keep them.
- If you agreed to text messages, the fact that your number opted out, so we never text it again.
- A guest's agreement to be recorded on another host's show, with your name taken off, because that recording may still exist.
- Your show's web address stays reserved, so nobody else can take it and pretend to be you.
- A photo someone reported to us may be held for our review for up to 90 days.
- Our nightly database backups are kept in private storage and roll off on their own cycle within 30 days.
